Our guest speaker for the Annual Meeting was an
outstanding and engaging lecturer. Prof. Derr is
a member of the faculty at Clark University in
the Department of Philosophy. He has special
expertise in the areas of medical ethics and
health policy. Prof. Derr spoke on: "The Oath of
Hippocrates."
In 1995, Prof. Derr, along with other prominent Catholic ethicists and physicians drafted a restatement of the traditional Oath of Hippocrates. Following Prof. Derr’s talk, members and guests had the opportunity to take the Oath.
